I am writing this travel blog at blogspot, as I like traveling and want to share some information to the readers, this is the purpose of this blog - The Travel Paradise.

Nowadays, we have quite a number of blogs which exist in the webpage and consist of informative information which can apply to our real life. In additional, every one can have their own blog to express themselves into their emotion or feeling.

However, what is blog? What is the purpose serve of blogging?

According to Wikipedia, a blog is a user-generated website where entries are made in journal style and displayed in a reverse chronological order.

A blog is a way for people to share what they are thinking and what's in their mind. It is a platform that people can share their opinion, experience or any view of the matter which the public is interested, or the writer is interested to share with public. Some of the blogs are open the comment function in the blog which invite the public the give comment on the writer’s blog. It's a public way of speaking over the internet. It can be business or personal.

The essential characteristics of the blog are its journal form, typically a new entry each day, and its informal style. Postings on a blog are almost always arranged in chronological order with the most recent additions featured most prominently. A person’s Web log is almost like an open diary. It chronicles what a person wants to share with the world on an almost daily basis.

Here are just some of the kinds of blogs you will find on the internet:
Personal blogs: We all know this.  Personal diaries, people’s personal rants, etc.  Some people start their own personal blog so they can become famous.

News blogs: You don’t need a degree in journalism to start your own news blog.  In fact, everybody could be a reporter.  Sorry, print newspapers will be out of business some day.

Review blogs: Many review blogs are started because people love the latest techno gizmo, or follow a particular brand and will blog about a new product release.  Be careful, though, fake review blogs are also prevalent because online marketers understand how much “trust” consumers have in these review blogs.

Company blogs: Blogs can be setup as a separate “tab” on company website’s navigation menu.  The advantage of a blog platform is that they can fire their webmasters because with a blog it is essentially a CMS (Content Management System) and you don’t even need to know HTML to publish something on a blog.

Political blogs: People who are into politics usually have their own blog to express their political view.

Weight loss blogs: An interesting application of the blog is to use it as a tracking tool.  Some people use blogs to track their weight loss progress.  Same concept applies to people who use blogs to help them get out of debt.  Since the blog is usually “public” it provides some sort of accountability to the blogger.

The purposes of blogging, has 2 main categories. First is for personal, what I have mentioned in the paragraph above, which people would like to share their knowledge/experience/happiness with others. The second is for generating the income, who create the blog is for income purpose as many of you know that blogging can advertise the ad and get income resources to put inside the blog in order to get money from the vendor.  For a long-term blogger, you have to clearly know about the purpose of yours in order to write the blog in creative way to attract the reader, in the way the increase of the traffic. Treat your blog as a good friend to share your heart to her.
